Pressenza New York, 11/18/11 She is indeed a thorn on the side of successive Indian Governments. Her consistent exposure of their corruption and repressive policies has led to her being variously labelled a seditionist, secessionist, Maoist and unpatriotic troublemaker.

Her view of the violent Muslim and Hindu groups fighting one another is that "they worship at the same altar". She is a Booker Prize winning writer and nonviolence activist, and she is speaking, as usual, without holding anything back.

A video of her speech can be seen in Youtube.
